I really loved my unit. It was affordable, newly rennovated and a decent size. My beef is with the staff. I recently foundout that my rent was going from $751.00/month to $920.00/month. That's a $170.00 increase with only a two month notice. Ridiculous. The only thing they had to say was that we moved in on a hurricane special and that's why our rent was so low. They apparently do not want to keep their residents, especially ones who always pay their rent on time and have never caused any problems! They also told us that water was only going to be $30.00. But every month it keeps going up and now it's up to $40.00.
This apartment complex is trying to be costly when it is realy a low rent place. Even the non rennovated units are now going for $895.00 and they are dumps for that price. When I first moved in hear the sewer water over flowed into the apartment. I had to track someone down to clean the carpets for me. After ten days it was finally cleaned and there was still water everywhere in the bedrooms, closets, living room etc. Also my water heater did not work when I first moved in because the power was not connected to it. The air conditionng was leaking on to the water heater which caused the power to go off several times. The power went out exactly on midnight last New Years. That was crazy. My boyfriend's license plate has been stolen twice. A friend of mine had his car broken into. I constantly have bugs even though the exterminator visits. My microwave didn't work although they replaced it. The diswasher was put in crooked. Wireless internet does not work in this unit for some reason. I've tried three different routers and wireless cards. Bottom line: don't move in here unless you want to be dissappointed and your rent to suddenly increase. We were never offered a 16 month lease that all of our neighbors who moved in the same time got. They were so quick to get us in here on all of the specials. I figured my rent would increase to $850.00 max because it is a nice unit. Don't let the prices fool you. This place is low rent and so is the staff. Go somewhere else. I am.
