Westwinds definitely has its pros and cons. I try to be fair and honest in my review. Starting with the Pros: LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION!!! Westwinds is near everything. Universal Studios, Food Shopping, Restaurants, Drug stores, International Drive, Public Transportation, etc. Also the Maintenace staff are great, requests are usually taken care of within 24-48 hours if not sooner. Landscaping is kept pretty nicely. Lawns are mowed every tuesday during spring and summer months. Now for the CONS: I agree with what many people have been saying, Office staff for the most part has gone downhill. Not all that friendly, but not mean, or rude either. Just blah! Lighting in the parking lots is quite Dull, they really need brighter lights for security purposes. Yes there have been some car breakins and apt. breakins, but nothing terrible that I know of. Buildings and Air conditioning units, plumbing etc are quite old, although I really haven't had any problems with them. One of my biggest pet peeves about this complex are the disrespectful dog owners. I love Dogs, I love all animals, but A LOT of the people in this complex do NOT clean up after there dogs. In some states you get big fines for not cleaning up after your pet. I think maybe it's time for Westwinds to do the same. I think it's the only way they are gonna get these people to clean up after there pets. Also a lot of people feel they can just throw there beer cans, candy wrappers, etc all over the place. There are plenty of trash cans throughout the complex, THROW YOUR GARBAGE IN THE GARBAGE CAN!! Be courteous of your fellow neighbors. That's all I have to say about Westwinds. Proceed with Caution. It's not a bad place to live, but there are far better places to rent, for even Less. I think Rent is too high for what they offer. Not to mention you pay for ALL utilities. Even WATER!
