I read all of the reviews on this site before I moved in thinking that the reviewers were just over reacting. I was wrong. Everything they wrote is true. After 1 year of living here we are moving mostly due to the crime. There have been 4 break-ins in 6 weeks and one of the residents were beaten during the break-in. During the same time frame there were 2 auto thefts and 5 auto break-ins. But the rising crime is only due to the area the apartments are in. As for the management: the gates worked about 2 weeks out of the year I lived here. There were broken most of the time from people smashing them in with their cars or bashing in the mechanism. The cameras on the gates don't work either. Tenants pay for the use of the pool, spa, wifi at the pool area, basketball court and picnic area but the residents from the nearby Westbrook apartments (income-based) take over the property. The management laugh when tenants complain about it as they don't want the confontation of telling them to leave. We also saw first hand the office staff purposely not answer the phones and laugh to each other about maintenance requests. The rules only apply to people they wish to enforce them on. 12 people living in one apartment, people have pets that they don't pay the pet fees for and decorating rules don't apply to some. All of these things are known by management but they refuse to approach people and the fees get thrown back by the rising rent. Also, a mantanance man was fired for doing something so bad that a tenant is taking him to court for it. Save yourself the stress of having to find another place within a year by just staying clear of this place.
