In november i would be living here for a year and i have to say it's a great place to live besides the sugar ants, spiders, and silver fish that live here also. I know every apartment has a little bit of pest problem but this is outta control. The sugar ants live inside the walls and they come out through the electrical sockets. I only see ants in the kitchen which is strange since i keep the kitchen very clean. Every now and then I'll see a huge carpenter ant in the bathroom that doesn't really bother me that much. It's a little creepy when i'm about to hop in the shower and see a huge carpenter ant in the tub. Sugar ants were in my toaster oven munchin away on crumbs uhhh i was so disgusted and now they are in the pantry with all my food i had to throw away maybe $100 with of groceriece because the ants had gotten into it. For a college student a $100 in grociers is alot of money to throw away. They have send out pest control out so many times it just doesn't do anything. They go away for 3-5 days and then the ants are back out again. Now the silverfish live in my closet and they have sprayed for them also but they just keep coming back. I hate going in my closet to look for something to wear and see silverfish crawling on my clothes. The worst that has ever happened i woke up in the middle of the night to feel something crawling on me and it was a fricken silverfish in my bed.Ughhhhhh.
Overall besides the bugs i have to say Alafaya Woods apartments has been a great place to live. Office staff is really good and try to take care of you as soon as they can. Jose was awesome but he isn't here anymore since he got a promotion. Maintence is great and come within a day or the next day of making a maintence call. They replaced my dryer 3 days after it broke down. The apartments are a very nice size apartments. A bad thing is my patio from my apartment overlooks the cementary which i was unaware there was even a cementary close by.When fay hit, the cementary got flooded and i was afraid the coffins were going to start floating around. Neighbors around me seem to be half way decent. I always got hit on by the black people that lived in the next building which was annoying-(i'm engaged,20 and white) all i wanted to do was walk from my car to my apartment and a lot of the time they were standing outside chatting it up but i haven't seen them around the last 2 months.
Oh and the pools are nice but it seems like the one in the middle of the complex is always closed and if it's 100 degrees outside the one by the second entrance smells like garbage but not all the time. I give it a 7 out of 10.
