the other apartments i have lived at in the area were jefferson commons and the gatherings. so at first, elmhurst was like a dream, there were not parties on mondays with people beating on my window at 3am. and it was only about half college students there. however, now i'm graduated with a real job, and in hindsight, i realize how horrible elmhurst is. the parking is absolutely ridiculous, i usually park on a curb, or pull up on grass... and for that they slap huge stickers on the back of my jeep that don't come off unless you scrub them with a brush and alchohol for an hour! but i refuse to park a mile away from apartment. noise is insane, i understand most apartments have thin walls, that's just the way it is... but at least have maintenance drag stuff up and down the stairs and mow right beside my window at a later time than 7 in the morning. also, they have tried to charge my roomates and i for money we did not owe... 700 dollars to be exact, and then later they said it was a computer glitch, that's some computer glitch. i wouldnt reccomend elmhurst anyone, but if youre coming from somewhere like knights crossing, or the previously mentioned places... than elmhurst is bearable.
