I lived at Loma Vista for 2 years and recently moved out... They performed a prelimenaty inspection and found nothing wrong with my apartment, assuring me that I would have no problem getting back my deposit. I cleaned the apartment for 2 days straight and left it much cleaner than it was given to me.. I had no doubts I would get my deposit back, like I always have everywhere that I've previously lived. Much to my surprise, a few weeks later, I received a letter outlining a bunch of ridiculous charges giving me back a total of $18 of my deposit. They even charged me for certified mail that they used to mail me the deposit! I'm going to take them to court, but please make pictures after you move in and before you move out, since I really DO believe they have no intention of refunding deposits, no matter what the condition of your apartment is!!!!!

I am in the same situation. Need to find out how to take them to court if they used every means to make themselves look like they complied. At the move out inspection the handed me a copy that was not signed so there goes my proof
