Northgate is one of the better places for UCF housing. It's not always terribly loud or unsafe feeling like Peg. landing or pointe. People don't get killed here. One pizza guy got pistol whipped, a stray bullet went through my apartment.. but it was apparently they only instance that has happened. The walls and celings are very thin- the footfall of the people above is terrible and it's very easy to hear everything. The construction of the apartments seems a little questionable. Placing the stairs right next to bedrooms makes it extremely loud in that room when the heavy-footed neighbors walk up and down the stairs. The ethernet hookups are on opposite sides of the room from the "desk nooks". My dad had to custom make me a super long ethernet cable so go all the way across the room.

Management is cool, they don't try to charge you out the ass for everything or be too strict about stuff. The down side to that is when people are violating the lease agreement by noise after a certain hour they don't do anything about it. That's what the cops are for though.

Basically, it's a pretty good spot, not always good for the serious student but a lot better than other ucf housing. Any where you go you'll have to deal with the loud drunkards.
