parking sucked. i was towed once because some girl complained that i parked in the same spot to much and my tire was low. my girlfriend was towed twice. once for parking near the visitor section(all 10 or 15 spots were full) and once for parking outside my apartment during the middle of the day.
the mananagement did refund my money for my car though. when i got a new car they would not give me a new decal because i did not have my old one(still on the old car) and they said that because i might have given it to a friend i was out of luck. the good news is, or so they told me, is that the parking situation is better now than it was in years past. i think they are on crack. my advice is to get to know the tow truck drivers. i had a pretty unique car and one night i stopped the towing guy and showed him that i lived there and which car was mine. after that i talked to him a few times and was told that riverwind asked him to tow my car multiple times but because he knew i lived there he didnt tow.

when i moved out i was charged $500 for damages to the house and cleaning. i thought the $100 moce in fee was supposed to cover cleaning. it has been months since i moved out and i am still fighting the $500.

not that i would have wanted to, but when the time came to renew or find a new place to live my roomates and i were told that we would not be welcome back because of all the noise complaints we had against us. which is kind of weird because we never had anyone come to our house to tell us to shut up.

i could go on all day about how crappy the place is but i will say one thing. the front office does not discriminate. they keep the gate open for anyone who wants to come in and rob us. the night security guy is real good too. he follows you around everywhere you go to make sure you dont spit or jaywalk.
the front office "forgot" to give my roomates and i our monthly overage charges and because of it they returned my rent check on the 7th to me. for anyone who lives at riverwind you know that on the 7th, the rent is late. when i turned in a new check ten minutes after they broke into my room and threw the old one on my bed, the management charged me a late for of 30 dollars.

do not move here. save your money for someting more useful, like a lobotomy for even thinking about living here.
