I was a resident at Riverwind during the '04 Hurricane season. As with all D bedrooms in the complex the windows leaked leaving the window sill and carpet area wet and damp. My window leaked for all three hurricanes and when promised that it would be taken care I didn't know that they meant six months later in February. Upon move out inspection I was told my room was fine, I did some additional cleaning and I left. About 3 weeks later I was shocked and pissed off when I received a letter telling me that not only was I not going to get my deposit back but I was also going to have to pay over $200 extra for things I DID NOT DO! They charged me for "water" damages to my furniture (hello dumbasses, 3 hurricanes with water damage to the room) and they said there was a burn on another piece of furniture that held my TV. Explain to me how a base of a TV can "burn" furniture. Management is rude, and they will try and suck every dime out of you that they can. Rent was being raised when I left and I wouldn't pay $510 a month for that dump. My biggest complaint is the office management. Obviously they aren't smart enough to obtain real jobs and enjoy trying to scam college students for all they can. P0MtU6TIdDkM23RTonAS
