Yea, I've had problems for awhile now... This place only has one positive... The maintenance is timely in responses to calls. However, they will frequently walk in without knocking or will knock after they have unlocked, opened the door and have walked halfway in. Also, if they see anything they can bust you for they will. My roommate had his dad stay the night in his room for a couple nights while visiting once and the maintenance immediately reported it to management. Even though I and all my roommates stated we had no problem with him staying for the weekend management told his dad he had to leave the premises. When I first signed the lease it was to start in January. I told them that I wouldn't be moving in until the 6th and wouldn't be paying the first month's rent until then. After a couple of months I received a late fee for the first months rent that I lived there. I complained to management they would say it was ok and then send a threatening notice the next day saying that I needed to pay the fee. They even sent someone up to return my check for the current months rent because it didn't include the late fee. After about the 3rd notice I looked up the main company on the lease "Great Southern Investments" and gave them a call. About half an hour later the management called and apologized and finally quit harassing me. Oh, that's another thing.. When you go to ask for a manager you have to go through the kids at the front counter who don't seem to want to be bothered. Also, the security is a joke... The gates of course never work but management always has excuses. They have a 24 hour clubhouse and gym (According to website) but the security guard usually tells you "Sorry it's closed" or more likely isn't around to let you in at all. And when I say not around I mean not even on the premisis. His car is gone for hours at a time if not all night. When he is there he brings his family over to watch movies or play pool. They are a very noisy bunch and it keeps me from enjoying the clubhouse that I pay to have access to. Many times I've tried to call the security guard and never got a response... Heaven forbid there was ever an emergency!! One morning I walked out to my car and found footprints and dents all over the top of it. Someone had stomped all over my car. The management didn't even seem the slightest bit interested in reviewing the camera's and told me to take it up with the sheriff's office. I now keep my car in a garage. Also, if you get home late as I frequently do after studying you will not find a parking spot anywhere near your apartment and will have to walk quite a ways from the visitor lot. If you have a visitor and they get here too late there is no place for them to park at all. And the worst thing of all was when I renewed my lease (Why did I renew!') I called them about replacing the carpet (Which was a disgrace when I moved in from a keg party that took place before I lived there and was told it would be replaced when I first moved in.) They came to steam clean it rather than replace it. At this point I figured I'd take what I can get. So I was sitting there watching TV. They came to steam clean so I shut off the TV and let them do their thing. After they left I tried to turn the TV back on and guess what' It didn't work. I told management that I expected them to replace the TV. I was told "No, that couldn't have happened... It's never happened before." What kind of logic is that' I've never punched him in the face before... So if I did could I claim it never happened because I've never done that before!' I honestly could go on alot longer but I think this is sufficient. They are lucky I don't have the time or money to sue!!! Do not live here, they have NO respect for their tenants!
