Think twice before signing a lease with this company at any of their buildings!

The lease is pretty standard BUT be sure to read the details as the management company will make sure they take advantage of EVERY opportunity to charge you for something. I sent a certified, return receipt letter with my last check (I had moved out early) and asked for a final statement. In addition to an electrical overage for the time I was not there, they charged me for THEM to send a certified, return receip letter in response. I feel that kind of charge is normal overhead NOT part of the rent. Watch the wording carefully--they consider EVERYTHING to be part of the rent. They allow only $150 monthly for electric for each apartment. As a result, you will almost be guaranteed overages during at least part of the year--especially if you and your roommates do laundry and cook in the apartment.

The AC filter was NEVER replaced even when requested. According to the management, it is supposed to be done monthly but it is only when requested and not even then. I have photos to prove it. I changed it myself once and it was never again done.

The manager graciously "removed the personal items" I had left in the apartment (a shower curtain and hooks) so that "I would not be charged for that." Again, BEWARE! The apartment was never cleaned by them before I moved in. I cleaned it meticulously before leaving and then he made that statement! He was looking for anything that he could charge for. Another comment was that "most renters get most of their security returned." Be assured, that you probably won't get it all unless you are very aggressive about it.

As I was already out of the apartment and continued to pay the rent on the room, I had not turned in my keys, key card for the gate, and the decal until the end of the lease. That was the justification for charging me for electricial overage even when I was not there. I figured that if I turned them in, they would rent the apartment even though I was still paying for it. Not to be trusted I think.
