Very Nice -REVISED 3/2007

UPDATED REVIEW
OK - I really liked the office staff when I moved in under Riverstone Rentals (Hedy was the best!), but shortly after I got settled in, the property was bought out by Equity - they have ZERO customer service ethic. Just as "Anonymous" said they were robotic and had no sympathy for the fact that Anonymous was robbed at gunpoint - - the staff was pretty much the same way when my Father passed away, and I had to fly me and my son home at a moments notice -which of course is not cheap. I swear they are Stepford Wives, I could practically hear the "click" as the tape recorder turned on and they said "I'm sorry for your loss," with absolutely no emotion. Then I got the apparent standard answer "If we did it for you, we'd have to do it for everyone."
Also, since Equity took over, there has been A LOT of people moving in and out every month, and the number of partying college students has increased greatly. All the movement makes me uneasy of what kind of people are living here at any given time. And all the partying around the pool makes it very unpleasant to bring my son down. Who wants to sit in the middle of - - swearing, smoking, getting drunk sitting in the sun 18-20 year olds - - with a child in tow' These have become not so family friendly apartments, which is too bad because there are quite a few families here - for now - some are already moving out, and the rest of us are contemplating it.
I still like the layout of the apartment and they are in a very convenient location, but they definately were constructed in a hurry with the cheapest materials possible. The trim on the balcony is rough scraps that just had paint thrown on them, and after just 5-6 months the kitchen sink and one of the toilets are malfunctioning.
The former maintenance man (Dave) was PHENOMENAL - answered calls right away, got things done quickly and correctly. Since Equity has taken over, I couldn't tell you what the maintenance guys even look like. I called because I had no hot water the day before Thanksgiving - never got a call back. Fortunately I was staying at a friends for the holiday, so on my way back home on Friday, I called again. The message I got back was "Sorry, I didn't get your message on Wednesday, I'll be out there within an hour." One problem - I NEVER said I had called on Wednesday!! When I called the second time I just said I had called previously...hmmmm...someone apparently just didn't want to work on on a holiday eve.
PREVIOUS REVIEW - DISREGARD!
Very nice apartments. A little expensive, but mostly worth it.
Noise from neighbors on the same level is minimal. However, if you have people above you - lookout - there appears to have been absolutely no attempt to buffer the sound between floors. I can hear my upstairs neighbors doing everything - like brushing their teeth and shaving. So when they do things like move furniture and HAMMER at 1030pm - they may as well be in my apartment!
Aside from that, I love living here. Nice gym and pool - and outdoor kitchen by the pool.
Although I do wish there was a way to prevent students from moving in! Sometimes on the weekend the pool area becomes party central and therefore not a place I want to be with my 7 yr old. If they can have 55 communities - why not 30 apartments'
Overall, the property is beautiful, apartments are well laid out, and the staff is courteous, maintainence is quick.
