I moved out on my own for the FIRST time to these stupid apartments and had problems from day ONE! I agree with all the comments about the rude & money greedy staff and especially about Larry the Maintenance guy! When I moved in my parents and I smelled a very strong GAS odor in my apartment, we complained and Larry came about 3 times to "fix it" which included putting some kind of goo around the gas pipe behind the stove and telling me it was probably coming from one of the apartments BELOW me (like I should have been relieved to hear that or something...) and told me he would check below to find out for sure, but I'm sure he never did. Well, when my sister & her infant son came to visit and the problem still hadn't been fixed, my parents finally told me: FORGET MAINTENANCE--CALL THE FIRE DEPARTMENT AND THEY'LL CHECK IT OUT FOR SURE TO SEE IF THERE'S A LEAK! So I did--the firemen checked it and turns out it WAS a gas leak in MY apartment and the firemen that confirmed it were SOOO pissed that it hadn't been fixed after my repeated calls to Maintenance that they stormed out to go down and confront the staff about it! They were cussing and mumbling to each other staying stuff like, "this isn't the first time this has happened here..." and "dangerous stuff like this happens here all the time..." I was shocked! Well, it finally got fixed pronto, but not before a tongue lashing from the management about calling the Fire Department to come out! I couldn't believe it! They are all crazy and this is just ONE incident that I experienced during the year while living there! When my lease was finally up I still had to pack up and leave in the middle of the night because they were trying to charge me a whopping "late fee" for not telling them in writing that I was leaving after my year lease was up even though I did tell them verbally and they had already given me all the exit papers to allow me to leave! They are nuts... so if you don't want to possibly experience any of the above, OR witness any drug deals go down OR hear wild parties or wild domestic disputes all night every night OR hear one neighbor on one side of you peeing in their bathroom; your ho neighbor on the other side of you have LOUD sex on the connecting wall with a different man every night for hours on end; and your neighbor under you talking on the phone--DO NOT MOVE INTO THESE APARTMENTS!!!
