Gone Downhill

At one point I could have rated this place highly above par. As of recent it's fallen horribly. Within the past year the complex was sold to a management group. One of their first things to do was to repaint the complex. Previously it was a bright and colorful complex, nice tropical peach colors, something that said "This is Florida!". They decided to paint the complex a very dark brown, and the doors black as midnight. Central Florida sun only heats the place up, and with the black doors, you only get burned or watch your cooling bill skyrocket.
There is also supposed to be a security bar on the back entrance, but due to people without cards (you could have used any flat card to gain entrance - it was a push activated bar) the bars were always bent where someone had pulled it. Needless to say Security here does not exist. People use this complex as a short-cut to get from one road to the other.
The new management in the front office have little understanding as to what they are doing. On more than one occasion we filed comlaints after hours, no phone message was ever returned.
Under previous management pest control came around once a month, in the past 6 months I've not had pest control visit once.
They used to have lawn care come out once a week; now it seems they come out whenever they want, sometimes once a week, other times once a month.
It's a shame what has become of this place.
I've been happy here for the past 2 years, but now... now it's time to find a new place.

They did recently rip down alot of back porch frames due to rotting wood - why they did this AFTER they painted I have no idea.
They are in the process of rebuilding those frames.

Also, if you are moving here because of the golf-course, don't, that golf-course has sold and is being turned into a residential area (although that is not the fault of this apartment's management).
