I lived in this complex for about 3 years and only moved out because I had to move out of state. I had a very nice, large 1 bedroom apartment with vaulted ceilings on the second floor. Inside it was quiet - I never heard my neighbors. The complex was very quiet and the grounds were always well-maintained. The office staff was always helpful and nice when I had to deal with them, which wasn't too often. Maintenance was always quick to respond - even late on a Sunday when my a/c unit started leaking.
Although I didn't like it when they repainted from the tropical colors to the more muddy one, it didn't affect me too much.
I'm currently living in a smaller apartment with a higher rent and no washer/dryer or central air. I would trade my current apartment for my old one at Malabar Lakes any day!
