I'm currently a renter at Union Square. The Valet Trash service is clearly written on the rates when you apply for the apartment. The sales reps are honest with you from the beginning and spell everything out for you.
Let's face it, if you can't spend an extra $30 a month, then you shouldn't have rented here in the first place.

I was a fomer tenant and I think that $30 is outrageous (it was lower when I lived there)for picking up the trash. I understand that it a nice benefit and there are no smelly trash bins around but if the trash people were reliable then perhaps it would be worthwhile but not at $30.

Penalty flag, 25 yards, 2nd down! Ha ha the Anonymous post below makes sure to put capital letters on Valet Trash service. This sounds just like Union Square managers typed it. Valet Garbage` faux pas de rigueur 30 Euros no bueno.
