Where do I begin! It's sad but most people do not read reviews before they look for an apartment. We are all too often bedazzled by the move-in incentives and deals they offer. This was partially the case for me. Over fifty percent of The Falls residents are military. They are one of the few apartments in Broward that offer a discounted rent for military members. It forces many of us to live in places like this because we do not make enough money to live on the economy in places that are as expensive as Broward County; so we take what we can get. Had I known I was going to go through this hell, I would have sucked it up and paid a little extra out of my pocket to live in a better place. A co-worker needed something fixed in his apartment and the maintenance people politely help themselves to some of his family s food! Another co-worker and his family were at home one evening when a burglar pried there door open and walked in while wife was sitting on the couch. The husband came out with his sidekick and the criminal left. These are just a few incidences that happened in 2006 in this complex. Aside from the gates always being broken, the managerial staff showed little concern when my vehicle was almost stolen in broad day light! I asked for the surveillance tapes to turn into the police. I asked the manager three times immediately after the event to please save the tape of that day; especially since they told me that they are nor responsible for any burglaries, robberies or stolen property. Okay fair enough, so at least give me a copy of the tapes so I can catch the thieves that drive off while I caught them in the act! After, chasing the security guard and being given the run around for several days, I discovered that the manager never told the security guard and he had conveniently taped over the crime. Isn t someone supposed to be watching those things! To all my military members, it s very expensive to live in Broward and the rental discount can help. Take my advice and live somewhere else! Go rent a house! Your peace of mind and sanity are worth the extra money you may spend. Good luck!
