Hello All, Normally I am not the type of person to actually sit and type up a comment on this forum, but I wanted to because I sit and read things that people say on here. I also read the comments about this place prior to me moving in. i am going to be very honest about my post, so here goes. I have been living here since 11/08 and at first I was not sure if I should move here because I have a teenager living with me and I was skeptical about everything surrounding the events with the young man that was murdered in the community(his father attends my church). I am a big beliver in prayer and will not deny me being a christian, so yes I prayed b$ i moved here, and after several months I moved in. I received brand NEW carpet and everything was clean and working, and today it is 7/21/09 and it all still works. i have never had a problem with maintenance. NEVER and that is the truth. Carlos was excellent, he no longer works here but he was excellent, I have never had a problem with the office staff, or anyone else. To me sometimes to get what u want show a person that u respect them as a human being and show kindess, it will take u further that anything else, and trust it has worked for me since I have been here, also for the person who said that the light bill is high bc of the appliances, I have a 2bdrm rtry turning on the fans instead of the ac in the day time(turn ac to 80) and it has worked even in the summer my bill the highest has been $130.00 in the winter it was $100.00. I think that is great! but anyway, I think the place is clean, and they (the staff) do try and get to every work order, and i see them early trying to get things done. I leav to go to work at 7:15am and they are riding around picking up trash and getting work orders filled. We all have to realize that at the end of the day we are all customers, even them! the few complaints that I do have is that we need more lightening in the parking lot, the light bubls shld be replaced faster on the lights that go out on the building, and the trash compactor should have just a place where u can only throw the trash in and not be able to walk up to throw the trash in the compactor, that will keep the racoons out(smile, yes we have racoons,WE are in the Everglades, their territory) and keep lazy tenants fromn leaving their trash ouitside the compactor, thus causing rodents to come. I also have a serious issue with ppl who try and tale gat behind me!!! that is what makes me so upset and that has nothing to do with the staff, it has everything to do with ppl who try and not follow the rules and call up to your destination to let u in. I solve that problem everytime, by stopping right where the stick lets down and I then pull off leaving the tailgater to wonder why they could not get in. If u want to keep this place up, office, and renters have to work toegether. If u dnt want to be tailgated then stop at the stick and dnt let the person in, SIMPLE!!! I am not sure if I will be renewing my lease, because I am planning to buy a townhome, but if not I will def be staying.
