Well I thought because of the higher rent and the area I would be moving in to a nice place, right' WRONG! The hot water in the bathtub goes from hot to cold very fast, and it doesn't even really get that hot. My microwave doesn't heat ANYTHING, well let's just say a "minute" snake takes 3 or 4, oh I've complained about it before, and the management insists "it's working fine." It doesn't even have a rotating tray!! The phone doesn't work, why' Because the line in the outside box is disconnected, why, I don't know. NONE of the dryers in the laundry room dry anything, that is if they wor..er uh allow you to put in money. The neighbors are noisy, I can't say how many times I've been woken in the middle of the night by a car stereo, cops breaking something up, motorcycles reving up, racing, whatever they do.

And don't even think that "lock" on the gate to the pool keeps people out, people just prop it open with a chair, or people will ask "hey let me in" and boom, Mr. Sucker lets him in...which isn't a problem UNLESS there's 10-15 non tenants being rowdy totally ruining my would-be pool/hotub experience.

OMG the dumpster area looks like a mini landfill. If the dumpsters aren't full, there's trash all over the ground, I mean ALL OVER.

There's dog poo everywhere I walk. "Management" says they enforce the dog poo rule, yeah right! I watch dogs all the time do their thang in front of me, does the owner clean it up' Look at my shoes and you'll find out!

They're raising people's rent by $100 per month!! Why'' Who does that'' $15-$20 fine but $100' Nothing in this place is new, except the shaggy carpet, which is an ugly color. Oh and when I moved in I had to clean my porch closet out myself, because apparently they don't check things when you move out, or don't care, one.

And the "management", ha!...Don't ask them for much, actually don't ask them for anything, ever. And get that rent in by the 2nd folks. If the 1st is a Sunday, and the 2nd is a holiday...get it in by the 30th, just try to pay on the 3rd! Go ahead and try lol!

But hey...it's close to the beach...

You seem to be really pissed off i understand since i live here too! Have you tried calling the office for the problems your having in your apt? I havent had a problem with the maintnenance requests that i put in they usually come within 24 hrs. From what i understand this place was built in the 80's so yeah its outdated for the money, as far as the dumpster area i have the same problem throwing my trash away and these idiots that throw away there "flea market" furniture after they move out is not helping any! Just cut the staff some slack I know i wouldn't want to babysit 224 apartment units.

I can sympathize with the rent issue, and some of the neighbors who think we're running the indy 500 out here, but I agree with "bnice" about giving the staff a bit of slack. With what's been happening in this town we are lucky to have what we do. I am surprised to hear that maintenance is an issue. I don't know what to say, except ask them to come cook something in your microwave. It sounds smart, but if you've addressed the issue nicely before, now's the time to be polite but firm. It is possible that with all the power surges we get that your microwave has suffered. It's a shame that you've got terrible neighbors. Unfortunately, it can take quite a bit to get rid of unwanted residents. Florida law is on the side of tenants...I've had some horrible neighbors. I am really annoyed with whomever is story their broken cars across from my apartment quad. My neighbors all agree...it's just rude, since they are taking up space for cars that haven't been driven in a year! I hope your stay gets better.
