DON'T LET THE PRETTY PALM TREES FOOL YOU!Renewal rate way too high at 20%. A/C units are old and moldy (my unit was so bad that it made me sick with bronchitis which finally got better after I insisted they get a professional to clean the ducts & inside unit), the carpets are nasty smelling and linoleum is yellowed, kitchen & bathroom cabinet doors made of pressed flakeboard which is coming apart along the bottoms. Grounds are nicely groomed except for all the dog doo (don't wear good shoes to walk your pet). The pool/jacuzzi are kept very well but unfortunately not usable in the evening hours after work when the 20-ish crowd gathers to drink, smoke & cuss! Some equipment in the fitness room is missing parts & not usable. Management is not very cooperative when problems come up.
And to top it all off...they just posted memos on every door demanding that all tenants include a fee of between $12 - $20 to their already inflated rent, depending on the square footage of your unit, to help with the rising energy costs. The lease states that the landlord must give 30 days written notice of such changes. I did the math...this is price gouging!
