It's quite obvious that the other review was written by someone who works for Carriage Hills and not by someone who actually lives here.

Here's the low-down. Two-thirds of the management team of Carriage Hills is very nasty... the exception being Shelly. The other two women make no attempt at being personable, are always in a hurry to get you off the phone and rarely create work orders for the maintenance team. (Work orders for the maintence team are something you will become VERY familiar with if you move here. The reason for this is the old appliances in the kitchen area...appliances which are never replaced but repeatedly fixed and fixed and fixed!!!The screens on all sliding glass doors are old and cheap, always broken. It took more than 3 months of calling to the rental office before a screen door was replaced and the replacement was just as bad as the original.)

Despite monthly visits from the exterminator, roaches are a frequent visitor to apartments.....as are mice.

Recently, Carriage Hills has started accepting subsidised housing...so the residents of Carriage Hills has taken a turn for the worse. Cars are frequently broken into in the parking lots and a woman was pistol-whipped and robbed outside her apartment a few months ago. We have a Courtesy Officer but he is as close to useless as you can get. He writes tickets (warnings) to people who park thier cars outside the lines in the parking lot, but will not blink an eye when the pool is flooded with people who are NOT residents on the weekends. (If you dont live in Carriage Hills, you are not allowed int he pool. This is not something which the courtesy officer ever notices. We frequently have young kids on the weekends who ride thier bikes here and jump into the pool....still dressing in regular shorts and dirty from riding thier bikes. The Courtesy Officer has walked by MANY MANY times while this is happening and has NEVER said anything. It's his responsibility on the weekends to take care of this...but as I had said before... he's pretty useless.)

You would do far better by taking the time to check out other apartment complexes in the Pensacola area. I have recently moved over the Colonial Hills at Cordova. This is a much better managed, cheaper, safer and all around better place to live than Carriage Hills.

Please heed my warnings...if not, you will be sorry..
