Good thoughts and bad thoughts

Years at this apartment: 2002 - 2003
I lived here from 2002-03, and had a nine-month lease. The price was not bad at all (especially compared to the cost of living in Minneapolis where I am now -- and we have no ocean beaches to make the price worthwhile). I always felt safe at Eaton Square, and I met a lot of nice neighbors. I lived in building 14, which was supposed to be one of the upscale units, but there's not much of a difference between living there and on the other side of the second gate. And let me tell you how much I miss that garden tub! If you're a bath person, those tubs are wonderful. I have to say that the quietness factor is terrible. I could hear every noise from the other bedroom in my apartment, every step from the wooden stairs outside, and especially every noise from upstairs. Paying more for the top floor is worth the price here! Sleep is important. I was never impressed with the snotty staff there, even back then. They were just not attentive or all that helpful. Additionally, they frequently sent out notices that looked like they were written by five-year-olds -- no knowledge of grammar or spelling whatsoever.
