Nice place, rude office staff

The apartments are well kept and are one of the nicer apartment complexes in Pensacola. The noise level from neighboring apartments was low. The complex seems to cater to young singles and older retired couples. The grounds are well maintained although not extensively landscaped. Response time for maintenance calls is good. Of the few things we had go wrong, someone was usually out in a couple of hours.
However, the management team in the office could use some customer service training. They are not overly helpful and smiles come at a premium. The attitude displayed is that the renter is the one that should be catering to them because they hold the power.
As for the military clause - we were given 2 weeks notice of move date from the military and the office showed no cooperation and would not allow us to give less than a 30 day notice despite the fact that they "have a wait list and are having to turn potential renters away". We were informed that although they wouldn't let us out of the lease prior to a 30 day notice, if we weren't out by the date that we said we would be that "they would charge us extra for removal of our items". This was not something we had inquired about, but we were rudely informed by the staff. We moved out less than 2 weeks later, but paid for an additional 30 days despite military clause.
