My overall opinion is that Ember Ridge is a good value. Detailed pros and cons follow:
Cons:
1) Most apartments (including ours) don't have washer/dryer connections and the laundry room's machines are hit or miss. I started taking our clothes to another laundromat, but I never heard any complaints for our neighbors.
2) No play area for kids.
3) Although the management sincerely tries, they don't enforce dog poop cleanup very well, which is bad when your kid likes to run around on the grass.
4) Some of the air conditioning units are older and less efficient/effective. As a result, apartments with western exposure remain uncomfortable until late in the evening.
Pros:
1) Good management and maintenance personnel. When we've had problems the responses have been prompt.
2) Nice pool area. They also just recently completed some upgrades to a sand volleyball pit and barbecue area.
3) Good location--right next to Corry Station and close to NAS Pensacola (out the front gate).
4) Fairly inexpensive. Great value.
5) Large apartments with huge living rooms and master bedrooms.
6) When we first moved in it was a little more "ghetto" than now with screaming matches from some apartments lasting into the early morning. This has noticeably changed.
Hope this helps. 3mPoZ6gGN6wTPgNi4L2C
