kings mill has been, by far and away, the best apartment community i have ever called home. the pet weight restriction is low, only 30 lbs maximum weight, but is very pet friendly with about 8-9 pet areas. lots of green, beautiful setting. this really feels like you live in a park. gorgeous community and professional staff. everyday i saw maitenance putting in new flower beds, mowing lawns, and keeping up the grounds. any problems i had were immediately fixed that day. staff is friendly and responsive to all residents needs. we are a military family and moved out of the area, otherwise we would have definitely renewed our lease and rented with kings mill as long as we live in the area. management has parties for the residents about once a month that have good food, a DJ/karaoke. if you are lucky enough to get in here (the apartments are always full) then definitely rent here.
quality materials in apartments: berber carpeting, new and well-working appliances, air conditioning works great, etc.

to the review of dishonest management.......duh, of course when you sign a lease and BREAK it, they are going to charge you fees and you were informed of that when you moved in and signed the paperwork. any apartment that you live in and break a lease, they are going to charge you. we broke our lease- we stayed there about 9 months- because we are navy and we had transfer orders to san antonio, texas. there were absolutely no problems, they just needed a copy of orders.
