When I was in school, I can remember wanting to move into Lamplighter Apts. They were so nice back then. Now they are totally crappy.

I'm still a resident until I find somewhere else in this area to move.

This will totally gross you out...when I first moved in, the sewer would constantly get stopped up forcing sewer up thru the toilets and showers. The office never sent anyone to clean up the mess...we, the tenents, would have to clean the crap out of their toilets and showers. Isn't that a health issue''

The refrigerator is rusted. The stove is outdated. The ceiling has water stains from hurricane damage, one of the bedrooms has water stains on the ceiling and down the wall due to a air condition leak from the upstairs apt which was reported 3 times over a course of nearly a week before someone responded...now there's mold growing out of the vent, the sheetrock walls are no good. If I hang a curtain (sheer lightweight) over the window, the rod falls because the sheetrock is no good. Our mini blinds are no good, they fall out all the time.The wood around the door is rotted.

Abandoned cars sit in the parking lot for months before they do anything about it when they know the tenent does not live there anymore.

Management is aware of the problems and they've been promising to fix the problem but they never come. But they're raising the rent.

The security officers (you know the policemen who live in the apts at a reduced rate) do not respond to any calls. There are perverts and peeking toms living out here. Tenent quality sucks.

I agree...these apartments need to be condemned.

I was displaced from a really nice apt complex (Hunters Pointe) when hurrican Ivan hit. The ceiling collasped. My place job of 7 years was destroyed...so yeah, I was desperate when I moved in here.

I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy.
