Unbiased Opinion

Years at this apartment: 2006 - 2007
My wife and I moved in here about 7 months ago. If I had to complain about one thing it would be about the Cable and the Internet access. We are forced to use Com One which use satellite TV and at times several channels will lock up for days at a time. Eventually they get fixed, but since Com One is based out of Louisiana what would you expect. The internet access is the true horror here. I do alot of work online from home and if I have to download a project from work it is sloooooooooowwww and I'm not talking about a huge download. Maybe a few megs. They also throttle their bandwidth and have a firewall that blocks several ports so that you cannot download using download programs such as torrent files.
Other than that the overall mood at the complex is not too bad. The staff is polite and the grounds are kept in great shape. We have had a few issues as far as the apartment itself...a leaky toilet in the apartment above us creating water spots on our ceiling. They just painted over it without checking the overall damage done by the leak now the paint is cracking and there is a small hole there. Closer inspection showed rotten wood.
For the price you pay for the apartments isn't too bad for the area and size of the apartments. Parking is very good.
Final analysis - Get rid of Com One and the apartments would be decent, until then I don't recommend them because Com One sucks.
