We recently moved out. For the whole week before we left we cleaned. Friday and Saturday we were literally on our hands and knees scrubbing the carpets and getting scuff marks off the walls...doing a great job cleaning. Three weeks after we've moved and we get a bill. Charges for "extra" carpet cleaning, wiping down mini blinds and drawers, fixing a whole in the wall caused by Ivan(which had been there when we moved in, we even marked it on our move-in check list) and a stain in the fridge that apparently showed up after we left. The whole thing totalled $275. My wife called Jenna immediatly after seeing the invoice and was very calm about the situation. After a few minutes Jenna starts freaking out, saying that the apt was "disgusting" and that they had to do a major cleaning on the carpet which cost them $150. She apparently forgot she sent us the invoice which said $65, $50 of which should have been free because we got a free cleaning when we renewed our lease and never used it. We tried to explain to her that the apt was messed up when we moved in, but Jenna seemed to conveniently loose our check list. The conversation basically ended with Jenna threatening to take us to court over $275, most of which we should never have been charged in the first place.

This is just a small sample of what you have to deal with when you move into Meadow Run. Management is terrible and the construction of the buildings is subpar. Everytime we got a heavy rain my son's room would flood. Everytime we reported it, it was "fixed". The insulation in the buildings was terrible too. Our A/C ran almost constantly during the summer.

If we had the choice we would have never moved there, but housing was hard to find after Ivan. We had to live with my in-laws for 2 months on a waiting list before we could even get this place.
