Sandalwood Apartments

The place isn't too bad, but there is a drug problem here. In the summertime, the pool is noisy all night and you can smell the marijuana, yet nobody does anything about it. The aparments are very old and inefficient (electirc bill in the summer gets close to $200 and I try to be conservative with the ac). Lots of leaks and hot water only last about 3 minutes. The walls are thin, but that is common with any apparment. Maintenance staff does fix things right away. The courtesy officer is the infamous Jeremy Jarman who has an anger management problem. He released a k-9 on an unarmed teenager about two years ago because the kid was yelling at him. He beats his wife and has domestic violence charges against him. All the cops that I talk to say he is a redneck and has numerous complaints against him. For the price, I guess this is a decent place, but is safety is a concern, then pay a little more for a better place.

Hi
I am the new manager at Sandalwood.........This is a very sad review to hear. I also know that it is coming from an upset resident that got put in jail by our courtesy officer that was doing his job to keep the peace when he received several complaints from residents about this apartment. They were all around to view the incident. As far a drug problem........this place is family oriented and pool locked up every night by 10p.m. anyone in pool after hours is trespassing and Jeremy is doing a great job taking care of things in the evenings and we have had no complaints about people at pool after hours. If you veiwed these activities last summer it would have been very neighborly of you to call the police so that someone could do something about it or contact the office because we do care about our residents. Saftey is not a problem here.... Just because your mad at Jeremy is no reason to try and slander him or this property. Our property is beautiful ....our apartments look great.... Try picking up your trash and keep your guests from knocking holes in your walls etc. Respect the home your in as we respect the rest of the property. Management truly cares.... Even for this resident which we have done alot for....If your power bill is that high maybe you should ask management to send Maint. in to make sure everything is working properly and cut down on the people and usage etc. Also calling in to check your hot water heater would be advised. I hope your happy here...If not kindly find some other place that would put up with your loud guests and disturbences.

I've been a resident at this complex for years. I have lived here on 2 seperate occasions. This story could not be further from the truth and exaggerated. Jeremy has been a good resident and courtesy officer. Im a witness to some of why this resident is unhappy. The pool area is locked at night, and safe for all residents. This is a very good place to live. I would recommend it to anyone or family. This guest should know that he caused all his problems and to not BLAME that on the Management or Officer Jeremy doing SO is wrong. I think that he needs to find somewhere else to live. Maybe a house where they can party like they want to, but not here. Highly Recomended.

I'm on the waiting list to move in, and after reading the above comment posted by an obviously upset resident, I began to follow up on the things that the resident was complaining about. Just as i thought, this resident hasn't done enough research on officer Jeremy. The officer is highly respected by his co-workers and say he is an excellent cop. The k9 incident involving the teen wasn't officer Jeremy, it was another officer. I remember reading about the domestic incident involving the officer and little did u or I know, the wife admitted to lying and everything was dropped. Miss Stephanie is very sweet and has done wonders with the complex since she took over management. I drive by the complex on a daily basis to work and over the past 2yrs. , I've seen a major improvement to the buildings and landscpape. Impressive enough, that when I was up for renewal at the complex I'm at, I decided to move to Sandalwood. Highly recommended......
