I took the time to read your review, and noticed that you lived here a long time ago (2006-2007). I cannot believe that you waited that long to complain about these issues! I am very sorry that you had this experience at Stoddert Place. I moved in at the beginning of January and have a different experience.
1. Since I only live in one apartment I can tell you that I have no bug issues in mine, and I did receive a notice that they were coming in to spray and inspect. The lease does not state that they can come in anytime for any reason it does state that if there is an emergency then yes they can come in, which I would want them to!
2. The pet deposit is only $500.00 which is refundable and there is no weight limit is what I was told for employees or not because I know one lady has a huge st. Bernard
3. Police are out here constantly!, I would be more worried if this was going on and I couldn t see a cop
4. I can hear my neighbors sometimes, so I am not sure about what you mean when you say everything'
5. I do have to agree with you about the cable, they are not charging 25.00 any more
6. The lighting is an issue but I purchased really cute lamps for my apartment
7.I have a king size bed and a sectional sofa yes it was hard moving in but they provided me with the paint when I went and asked for it. (*I live upstairs!!!!!) They told me when I moved in that if I did not turn in all keys I would be charged for the lock changes of 45.00
8. All children should be supervised by their own parents, I watch my children that is your responsibility as a parent
9. No you don t get a porch but that isn t anything you did not notice before you moved in either
10. I re-cleaned my apartment when I moved in because that is just the person I am but for the most part it was clean
11. My tiles are just very hard to keep clean, I found that waxing them helps a lot
12. I haven t received an memos besides the newsletter that they put out every month which I like!
13. I have my own washer and dryer so I haven t seen the laundry rooms
14. We added a chain lock on our door which is acceptable
15. Our electric bill was only 80.00 for a three bedroom which moving from a four bedroom house I think is excellent!!!!
16. I think you did mention that but like I stated I only can control my apartment.
We decided to move to Stoddert Place mainly because of the location to beaches We love it so far. I cannot believe that you had to go through that situation, if I was under that I would have just paid out my lease and got out of there as soon as possible. I hope that you are having better luck at you new place.

First off, every time I update my post it updates the date too. Just to let you (Stoddert Place Management) know, I was only there 7 months and I broke my 1 year lease. Felt good too. I can show you my lease where it said that they are allowed to come in at any time, emergency or not, without notice. Entering a unit for an emergency is greatly appreciated but entering without notice without it being an emergency is illegal. And yes they do it. I can honestly say I have saved my folder too of every piece of paper Stoddert Place ever left on my door and only 1 was for a pest control visit. 1 time in 7 months. Explain that, but I doubt you can or will without incriminating yourself. I saved everything in case someone who read my post wanted to see it. The police were out there constantly.....for crimes that were happening. Not as a security patrol. I also do agree children should be watched by their parents but their rules stated that any child under 18 who was outdoors had to be accompanied by an adult. Don't you think an 18 year old can supervise themselves. You can say whatever you want, but most people I had talked to had major bug and mildew problems also. I have a friend who still lives there and she can verify that pest control is still not being done. No matter how much I cleaned I still had bugs. Maybe it was because of dirty neighbors, but if Stoddert Place was in fact spraying for bugs I wouldn't have had any. For only living there a month and a half you sure know a lot of info that most tenants don't even know in a year. Which leads me to strongly believe that this was written by management. The place I am at is a nice, clean, safe place with management that care. Stoddert Place could learn a lot from them, though I'm not sure it would stick.

I've been living here sense 2003 and for the most part it is a nice place to live. The rooms are large and it is mostly quiet here.
