DONT MOVE IN!!!!!! Management is horrible.. They do not address or care that the apartment has MAJOR issues.. They do not care about their residents. YOU ARE JUST A PAYCHECK.. Here is my story :I am on my 2nd lease with this apartment. The first lease was great, had great management, clean facilities and nice people . I RENEWED lease in March 2009 , and then management changed and a dog park was built.What a great idea .. I thought! Shortly after the dog park was built management changed again. They ran a special and apparently let some trashy people in.. They dont clean up after there pets.. this may be because the bags are never refilled at the poop pick-up stations. The gates are constantly broken b/c people ram them with their cars.. When they are not broken, they remain open all day and all night. By the way, this is suppose to be a 'gated community' that you are paying for..The pool has hours which are great .. but they let people who live outside the apartments come swim.. These 'outsiders' don't appreciate the pool as much, because they dont live here. i.e. Babies with no diapers are peeing in the pool. Cig butts are all in the grass around pool.. The pool is always hot and dirty.. It has leaves and bugs floating all in it.People bring glass bottles into the pool.People at the pool cuss like sailors with no regards to the other residents children swimming around them! There is an upper deck with a small jacuzzi-like pool. Ahh sounds nice, right'' WRONG! It is not filtered nor does the jacuzzi work. It is a breeding ground for bacteria and mosquitos. Children have pooped in there. Whats so funny about this is that The mangement office overlooks the pool, so they see all that goes on. The dog park has no hours. People that live here are not courteous. Neighbors congregate there after midnight and way before 6 am.. Dogs are barking and people are loud. They constantly wake up sleeping babies,children, and adults. The dog park is adjacent to many apartments-- mine is one of them. Even though we and other neighbors have asked .. Management advised there would be no hours on the park. Let me now describe the 'lovely' dog park. It is covered in dirt which blows on cars, and patios.. Your vehicles, patio and patio furniture will be covered in dirt 1 day after you sweep/wash. The garbage compactor , is never compacted , and trash overflows. People then have to put there trash outside of the compactor. These apartments are not energy efficient. My a/c stays on 75 at night , i turn off and unplug everything daily while i am at work.. My a/c remains on @ 78...and my power bill was 200.00. Last but not least : I locked my only set of keys in my car, and my apartment was locked. I had to walk all the way down to the office ( i live by the back entrance). It was about to rain , and started sprinkling.. When I got to the office I advised the lady who worked here of my situation..(I will not say her name, but she is the only woman working here now).. I advised her that i have No spare key and no car. She smiled and asked me a security question ( i didnt have my id), and then she gave me the key. She told me "I will need this back b/c it is the master key" . She didnt offer to take me up to my apartment or anything. The guys that zoom around in the stupid golf karts ( which are used to show future residents the apartments)were goofing off. I walked all the way back to the apartment to unlock it, and leave it unlocked. Then I walked alllll the way back down to the office and handed over the master key to a maintence guy.. Unfortunately the lady had left , or I would of had a nice chat with her. SOOO...These are all complaints that were adressed by management. Management said they couldnt do anything about these issues. As I said before.. do yourself a favor.. Find an apartment community who cares about their residents!

There is an on site cop that keeps you safe, people need to bring THEIR OWN dog poop bags, it was nice that management even put in a dog park. Just because there are a few bad people, doesn't mean you need to grade the management and staff bad. They are probably trying to solve the problem.

Yes the dog park is nice- If it was maintained .. UPDATE The dog park is now a Flea park. The rest of the grounds is also infested as well. Like i stated above , this is my 2nd lease it was never like this before. Now I have found a flea on my dog..When I went to the office, management is the one who confirmed to me that many of the residents have complained about the fleas .. So why haven't they sprayed or done anything about it yet?? Because they dont care.. No heres the answer: Management told me that the Squirrels have fleas and it would be hard to keep the fleas out. If you dont know the answer please research it first instead of giving an ignorant response. It justifies that you REALLY dont care about my concerns as a resident. Unfortunately, for management I have done my research and Pest control is included in the rent . Stating that if everyone in the community wanted to withhold rent -- legally they could . As long as its in writing.. Not only that, but escambia county ordiance states that a public apartment community must spray their grounds to rid of pests. If a dog swallows a flea it can result in a tape worm. Fleas are also hazardous to human health in many ways. I have been speaking with many of the residents who have agreed to file a complaint within 30 days with Escambia County if something is not done.. Yes its THAT bad here Melissa .

Wow have you never heard of Frontline? And since you obviously have access to the internet, 30 seconds on wikipedia would tell you that almost ALL mammals have fleas and would keep you from looking like an idiot when calling other people ignorant. Another 30 seconds would show you that dogs can get worms from dozens of types of insects. If your dog is allowed outside and isn't on anti worm medication you don't deserve to own an animal anyway. I feel sorry for your dog for having such an ignorant owner.

first of all... for yall to respond to this post and be ignorant enough to think that dogs can not get fleas if they are on medication is just beyond me.. she is right, if yall ever took the time to read your lease. The point she is trying to make is that they are not doing what the are supposed too, reguardless of how long the stuff lasts to kill the fleas they should do it on a regular basis... oh and from the internet wizard from above... noone gives a fuk about what animals carry or have fleas, and noone cares about how much you think you may or may not know about worms, the point is if they sprayed for fleas they would not get out of hand, as they have. Noone, including i think the person who posted this is saying that all of management is incompitent, just the dumb@ss bimbo working in the office, Justin and all the maintanence guys are good at what they do... and we really have no complaints about them... I have talked to ALOT of the residents and the majority of them agree with this post so your opinions seem to be of the minority.. we all know who is reponding to this post so Melissa dont take it to heart that people think youre a Bitc#.. get over it
