For those who complain about this place I definitely have to ask where else around can you get all the amenities that Hawthorne Village offers' After being in another apartment for a year I didn't have to think twice about moving here. For 200.00 a month more than my previous apartment I can have tile floors, new appliances WITH washers and dryers, surround pre wired, 9ft ceilings, and everything is NEW. The gates work fine now that the construction is finished. The ONLY problem is that some residents blast through them so fast that you find out quick why the entrance gate might be knocked off the arm every now and then. I have never had problems with management however I always pay my rent on time. The maintenance personnel are very nice and I have never had any problems with them either. They have been very helpful to me. I really enjoy the safety and quality of residents here. Its amazing how 200.00 more a month can get me out of the riff raff of Daytona's Finest.

My only complaints are that neither I nor my neighbors received a copy of the lease which legally I believe they are required to give us, and that the pool closes way too early. I believe it closes at either 7 or 8pm. Which means that for those of us who actually work for a living and get home at around that time, we have no pool or hot tub access on the weekdays.
