Mostly a good place to live

I've lived here for two year and have had no major problems. I like the apartment floor plans, the layout and landscaping of the complex is nice. Compared to other apartments in the area, this is one of the best.
Yes, the gate is left open most of the time and the storm drains clang and the pool officially closes at dusk, but these are minor things and never bothered me.
I only have complaints about the office staff. The apartment pricing is curious - I know other people who paid less for their three bedroom apartment than I did for our two bedroom. Also, the staff has difficulty communicating with the residents about lease renewal, lease termination, and rent variations. When we renewed our lease, rent went up by about ten dollars (just to cover the cost of a cable increase - cable is included) but we didn't know about it (they told us it was the same rate). However, a few months later they just sent us a bill for the amount of rent we owed (we kept paying the lower rate), no interest or anything, so I thought that was an appropriate solution, but it could have been avoided.
