I've lived here for 13 months, going on another 13 months. My appliances are in great condition; never had a problem with any of them. I still am not quite sure how to set the timer on the oven, but i can keep time myself.
I once had a small problem with a faucet, but I notified the office, and they sent someone right up. May have taken a day for someone to come, but he did and fixed it.
When I first moved in, there were some noisy neighbors below me [I'm on the third floor] and when they had their stereo on full blast, it did vibrate my apartment. They left soon after.
There were college students living on the first floor of my building who would throw parties and when they did, I would find debris all around their apartment, but it would get cleaned up within a week. Unfortunately, these students would have parties every other week.
It's kind of a pain to take garbage all the way to the entrance, but you get used to it and then are thankful that that smell is nowhere near you!
Parking used to be a hassle, at least in my building, but I think since we've had a turnover of tenants, things are fine now and I have 2 vehicles.
Staff has always been nice and helpful to me. Even since after moving in, I've never had a problem and they still have their charming manners.
There is little lighting when you walk to the back of most buildings, especially those that aren't traveled much, and a tenant would have to have their porch lights on or glows from lights on in their homes, but I feel safe walking through on a daily basis as a female.
There are quite a number of police officers that live in these apartments at the moment.
The only real problem I have are with the sprinklers. They tend to overlap on the sidewalk when they are on and you can't walk on the sidewalk without getting wet. This is terrible when you have groceries or anything heavy you can't run with, or if you are in dress clothes. It used to be on a cycle where both the front and back of the building would be on so no matter which way you went, you would get wet unless you waited 15 minutes for them to turn off. But, now only one side comes on.
My main reason I moved here was because they allowed heavy dogs. I have a dog and he weighs 50lbs. Most places only accept small dogs or 30lbs and under. The newness, if you will, well-kept grounds, nice staff, etc, was all a bonus. It can be a little expensive, but ask them for specials and promotions. I have been told that you could go else where for the same deals [# of bedrooms and bathrooms] for a cheaper deal, but you do not get the same quality as you do here. I choose to spend a little more for a more luxurious feel. All in all, I love it here!
