I recently moved out of Hawthorne Place last month, Thank God! I lived there for 3 1/2 years. I have watch family after family move out and put up with the many different people living above me (i lived on the 1st floor). I also put up with the windows leaking and mold growing around the windows. I have even had someone ram their car into my 2nd bedroom wall. I also requested that the carpet be replace many times with no success. When I orginally moved in I wanted a 1st floor (due to a large dog) but after being on the waiting list for 6 mnts I decided to settle for the 2nd floor. I moved in on July 4th weekend and by Monday the property manager was calling me at work advising me she had received a 4 page letter from the people below me, complainting about the noise. Wow, I didn't know you weren't allowed to make noise while moving. Is that even doable' Anyway somehow a 1st floor was available over night and I had to move the next weekend to the 1st floor. It worked out in the long run, but it was a total hassel. Needless to say the management then was total capable of handling that situation. The management now would have probably evicted me without getting my side of the story.
