I have lived at The Springs for seven months and am considering breaking my lease early just to avoid the frustration of living here any longer. The biggest problem here is absolutely the parking. It is completely out of hand. People end up parking in the fire lanes, sometimes almost blocking in other cars because of the severe lack of parking during the busy times. Also, the lack of grassy areas leads to children being forced to play in the parking lot which is dangerous for them and potentially damaging to your vehicle. My car has been hit with a football twice. Management is overworked and uninterested. Almost every time I stop by the office after work to pick something up or ask a question, the sign stating that they are out somewhere on the property. I requested maintenance to come to my apartment for a clogged drain and they never showed up. When I called the office to ask why they said that they sent the maintenance man to the wrong apartment. No one ever questioned why the apartment he went to did not have a clogged drain. I received no apology for this and was told that I would now have to wait until after the weekend for the man to come back out. The front gate works about 75% of the time. Sometimes it is stuck so that you cannot get in or out, but usually it is just propped open, kind of defeating the purpose of living in a "gated community." Overall I would never recommend that anyone choose to live here. I give it the poorest rating.

I've lived here 1.5 years and the gate has worked for me 95% of the time...far more than any other place I have lived. I love that there is an arm as well as an actual gate so it is less likely people will sneak in behind me. My A/C has broken a few times and maintenance has always been very prompt in fixing it...even telling me to call in the middle of the night if I need to. I have a garage that I actually park my car in (b/c I have a normal car not an F350 or a huge SUV like so many people in this area) so I have no problems parking. Some people park on the side of the road even when there are spots (probably lazy), so I'm not sure what this parking problem is because I don't see it.

I don't think Anonymous (hmmm) actually lived at THIS Springs of Bloomingdale. There must be another one around somewhere. While I agree that parking is a problem if you do not have a garage, I have never noticed ANY of the other complaints. For instance, EVERY time I have gone to the office for something, someone has been there to see to what I needed. Not only has maintenance always been very prompt in responding, but they have done some things I wanted done that did NOT involve any repairs. Like rearranging shelving. Literally the same day I requested it. Also, when I moved in, everything, even kitchen cabinets looked brand new.

I have lived at the Springs for 2 years, and maintenance is unbelievably good, as is the upkeep on the overall facility. The gate may have issues approx 10% of the times. My only concern is the gate by the laundry room that appears to be open quite often. Other than that, it is quiet, the walls are thick and as for parking; I have a garage so I don't have any issues, however if I have guests involving more than one vehicle I ask them to park at the clubhouse. Regarding the play areas for children, I would say it is more pet friendly than kid friendly due to the lack of play area, so if you are looking for playgrounds, etc. it is short in that area. At the end of the day my cat and I are content :-)

I am just starting my 2nd year here and I aboslutely love it. I have very few complaints. There was only one time when I first moved in that no one was in the office, but they were at lunch. Most of the office staff is very friendly (except for the property manager who acts like she is so above everybody else! She always acts like I'm a bother when she is the only one in there). Parking is not the best, but that's how it is at most apartment complexes. I have seen people park in the fire lanes and most of the time it is pure laziness. They'd rather park right in front of their apartments then walk an extra 10 feet! I wouldn't say that the walls are thick either. I am on the 2nd floor and I hear my neighbors tv all the time through the stairway wall and you can always hear the outside noises so the walls are not that thick. The maintanence staff is very, very helpful!! Every time I requested something, they came within a few hours. Also, there has been problems with the gates in the past but they got damaged in a storm and they had to order the part. Since then the gates have worked. It is very, very rare to see them stuck open. It happens, but it is rare. Overall this is a wonderful place to live! I highly recommend it to anyone.
