Springs at Bloomingdale

I lived at this complex for 7 months and I can tell you the front gate is broken half the time. And people do sneak in behind others all the time, especially at night. Parking is terrible. No other way to put it. People park in the fire lanes because they don't want to have to park on the other side of the complex. There were times I was afraid I wouldn't even be able to find a parking spot. Perhaps those that are commenting on here come home after working their day jobs. Yes - for you, parking is probably OK. Try coming home at 11:30PM after work and finding a spot. Different experience entirely, I guarantee you. I had a small child and there was no place for him to go except into the street. Roads inside the complex are very narrow and lots of turns. My moving truck was stuck trying to get out of there. Noise was becomming a real problem just as I left. My next-door neighbors were terrible, playing music till the wee hours of the morning. For a newer place, I thought the construction would be better for the sound-proofing. Rent is too much. You could go to other places and get more for less. The office staff is nice though if that's the important thing for you. This was not a bad place to live but the hopelessly sunny reviews on here just aren't accurate.

People park in the fire lanes because they are L-A-Z-Y. Also, I have a garage and I park in it, and if others did the same parking would not be a problem. Instead, they pile it with junk for storage. The kids in the street are terribly annoying, it seems as if their parents tell them to go play and they don't supervise at all. They throw rocks and have hit cars a few times. Maybe this is not the place for people with children.

To clarify my original post - I did not allow my child to play in the streets (he was only 2 yrs old!). My point was, there was nothing BUT streets for him to head to in case (heaven forbid) he happened to get out of the house. I witnessed many young children who played in the streets. Where are they going to go so their parents can keep an eye on them? If this isn't a place for children, then the management should say so. But they can't, because they would have to designate it adults only, thereby ignoring a huge portion of the population that needs housing. Parking in a garage? At their prices? Forget it. And if people are putting junk in their garage, then management should inspect these garages and make sure they are being used for vehicles only. I never parked in the fire lanes but witnessed many who did. Were they ever given a notice? Or fined? Or anything? No - because they were doing it for months on end. Responsibility falls to management when the residents aren't following the rules. They don't get a pass because "it's just people being lazy".

When coming home from a night out around 2 or 3 when most people in the complex are at home and sleeping i have no issues finding a spot to park and i agree with the pervious resopnse as people being LAZY when it comes to parking in fire lanes but honestly that is why they park there... As for the kids i also agree that they are unsupervised. Many will see a car coming and ride out in front of it on their bike like it is a game to see if they can get by the car w/o getting hit. This place isn't for kids whose parents don't want to take responsibilty of them.
