This place is terrible. My car was broken into and vandalized. Last week, a car was burnt down. A fire was set next door-- probably by some children in the apartment. Located in a ghetto. People let their dogs run lose and don't pick up after them. Some mysterious guy rumages through garbage every week. Ponds are filthy. Spiders and used condoms in public bathrooms. Dirty pools, chairs often thrown in them. Near a college so lots of parties and noise. Ants and bugs. My toilet was broken for a month before it was fixed.. couldn't use it. Cigarettes all over hallways. Broken railings. Never any parking. Shower takes forever to heat up. Guest parking is a mile away... assigned parking are assigned FOREVER away. Management does not car... had no concern when my car was robbed. Some nice people though. Can hear people walk over you.

Sorry for your damage and vandalism to your vehicle. However, I think some things need to be set in order though. Just so everyone knows, this is actually in the nicer part of Rockledge. Not the Ghetto. There is a Neighboorhood Watch Program. The residents are some of the best. There are lots of kids. Can't vouch for the public areas and the mess. I know the maid does try to keep it very clean. Not near any college, unless you mean FIT or BCC, which are at least 20-25 miles away. I think this has less noise than other apartments I have lived in. I have heard noise when they are working on the apartment. I have had spiders sporadically, but no ants or any other bugs. Then again, I live on the second floor. I have no issues with my showers or anything else and the facilities was prompt in fixing my dishwasher. The railings where I am at and what I have seen are not broken, but loose. People are too liberal with their dogs, so I agree there. I have a dog and I always pick up after him. The mysterious guy is harmless and is homeless. People do like to steal your parking and that is my main complaint. My assigned parking is near my apartment, so I have no complaints in that area either. Overall, this is one of the best places in Rockledge to live if you consider places such as Caribbean Isle. That place is bug-infested.

Southgate is indeed located near the Rockledge ghetto. Also, there is a highschool nearby which might be what the reviewer was referring to.

The closest high school is the newest one which is Viera High and that is all the way down by the stadium and There is also Rockledge high but that is next to Cocoa Village, there arnt any colleges or high schools that are even in walking distance from southgate, and if you want to see the ghetto you should go father into Rockledge and into Cocoa. Southgate is closer to Viera so I beg to differ!
