Wait until after the construction.

Management has been nice enough, except for lying about the reason for the construction. The fact that major renovations would be done to my building after I moved in was NOT DISCLOSED when I signed my lease. I plan to check with an attorney to see if that can be used as grounds to break my lease and bill Plantation Lakes for the moving expenses.
The construction is awful to endure. The dust is terrible and has been getting into my electronics, and the noise has been scaring my dog badly, and last, but definitely not least: this place had a severe parking area shortage prior to the construction. Now that they have all the debris/supplies/scaffolding around, there's just NO PARKING.
As for pest control, I've only had one minor bug issue, which was taken care of immediately.

yes same here never told me about the construction when i sign the lease, really upset about it. I work nights and can't even sleep during the day with the noise. I am beside myself living here.I have called the city and attorney and there's nothing we can do, they are applying by the building codes and they do have building inspectors that do come out and inspect the property so far so good oh well Good Luck

I wish we could get a group together and do something about the money issue. They take no responsibility at all and it is not fair to the residents. Construction starts at 7am and ends at 6pm. The management just tells us to contact Greystar, but we are not renting from the construction company! Can't we do anything? I am planning on writing a letter to the owners of plantation lakes. Its ridiculous! Glad someone agrees with me! Good luck!
