The sad part is, this place could be great. There are several things that could be improved/renovated/updated to make this a special property. Unfortunately, due to an overall lack of care and managerial enthusiasm, a wrecking ball may be the only desirable solution here.

I could highlight stories, but I don't want to burn your time by forcing you to read my complaints and confrontations. Instead, I'll give you bullet points. If you don't have time for those, well then here's this: Don't be fooled by the view. Run as far away as you can.

1) I've lived there almost 9 months now, and I've had to use my keycard to open the gate exactly 19 times. Several of those were during the same day.
2) They rent to everyone. Period. Let your mind wander a bit on that fact and fantasize about who could potentially be your neighbor.
3) Bugs. There are millions of them. Both inside and out. And forget getting any management support. They are always, and in every way, blameless. Bugs are kind of a part of nature...try swallowing that as an excuse when you can't get to your door through all the mosquitoes.
4) Weather. During the last storm, my covered porch on the 3rd floor was inundated with rain, as was my front entryway. That's right, the rain seeped in through the door and flooded my hallway. Lots of fun on a Sunday afternoon.
5) If you're even the slightest bit noise sensitive, this will be your hell. 17-92 runs right by the complex, and there is a biker bar 100 yards away. So if Freightliners and Harleys barrelling by at 2am is your version of a sweet, soft lullaby, then this is the place for you.
6) The place is not clean, at all.
7) Good luck chatting with management. They're all friendly, but in that ------may-steal-your-soul sort of way.

That's all I have for this pit. Don't move here, for my sake. At least then I can feel that I've done something good for this world.
