Great Community

Years at this apartment: 2002 - 2003
I am about to start my second lease here. I've lived in a 1/1 for the last year. I'm moving into a 2/1 loft this weekend.
First, the bad:
The complex is an older complex. I'd guess 20-25 years old. It doesn't have all of the newest conveniences and the architecture looks rather dated. The land the complex was on was lake/swamp at one point. After being filled in, a central "pond" remains. During the rainier times of the year, there can be a lot of standing water around:
Now, the good:
The staff here is the best I've ever had at an apartment complex. They are incredibly friendly and they know who their tenants are. You're not a faceless customer to them. I've only had a couple of minor maintenance issues and they were fixed the same day I reported them--and they were fixed right. The community is quiet and friendly. The pool is much nicer than at some of the nearby complexes and it is huge. The deck and clubhouse area around the pool are quite nice as well. The aforementioned pond is stocked with fish and if you're into that sort of thing, you're free to fish from it. And although not quite as nice as in some newer complexes, Sanford Landing does have a car wash area, a workout room, a tennis court, a sand volleyball court, and raquetball courts. The landscaping and grounds work are very, very nice. The apartments have much more storage space than most apartments their size.
