Great value for a Florida newbie.

Years at this apartment: 2003 - 2003
I'm in Sanford for a couple of years as a student at Delta Connection Academy.
Pros:
- Very roomy. I'm renting a 2/1 loft. I could have lived with a 1/1, if I had to, but I have so much crap. Oh well.
- Apartment staff is very friendly.
- Maintenance has responded to my work orders very quickly.
- Lots of trees and ducks.
- Well tended lawns.
- Allows pets (2 max, though).
- Lots of recreation areas -- tennis and racquetball courts, pool, gym (being currently remodeled)
- Plenty of parking.
- Clean laundry room.
- Car care area (vacuum and water).
- Seems like a quiet and secure neighboorhood.
Cons:
- It's a bit far from civilization -- one has to drive to get anywhere (I just moved from Boston -- you can walk, bus, or take the subway to almost everywhere). However, there is a fairly new, very nice shopping area just a couple of miles to the west, near I-4.
- The decor and appliances are a tad old.
- In fact, the buildings are a bit old. But I like that I have two walls of windows.
- Lots of ants on the deck -- this might be a by-product of the rainy summer washing the ant homes away.
Well, I recently moved in so these are my initial observations. I'll hopefully update this review at least a couple more times before I move out.
Cheers.
