Why are so many people leaving at the time of this post'

They are leaving because, things have really taken a turn for the worse here in the past couple years.
They are leaving because thugs from the slums/projects that are all within a mile of the residence have been by other residents been seen walking around at night.
The night patrol is completely ineffective, as they generally have him cleaning. The best part is, it states in the lease that they are only there to protect the property, not your stuff. So the clubhouse should be safe, but any thing that you own will not be.
They are leaving because the staff will turn on you. They have numerous instances of being rude, condescending, and even vindictive in the way they deal with the residents as indicated in other posts.
I have no idea why at the time of this writing no one has brought this up. The staff will tell you that the police have said nothing happens here. Only recently when five police cars came into the neighborhood to talk to a resident who's vehicle was stolen, did I start looking into this and talking to other residents. It seems they make this statement hoping that you won't talk to anyone else. I found that maybe in comparison to the projects in the immediate area it is low crime, but low crime it is not. There have been car thefts, and people stealing stuff out of people's vehicles and porches. I recently went to a local furniture store to make a payment, and found out that the even the manager of the store had someone try and steal his car from the complex while dropping off paperwork to a customer.
They have friends and friends of friends write reviews for them. Logic would say why after eight years of posts on this site with 240 apartments on grounds, do they barely have what, 40 good reviews' Most of those posts I have noticed sound alike and praise the office staff. Which by the way is the reoccurring negative in the bad posts. So which one is it'
When you first move there and everything is great, they will ask you to write a review on this site. With how it is currently, this is not a good idea. I am sure they will have someone post to refute this as soon as they can, as they always do. They will say how awesome the staff is and how this never happens to them. I am glad for them.
I have to say I have been pleased with the maintenance staff. I never had a problem with Chuck or Ray I believe it is, they are good guys and do good work. I wanted to mention this because I wanted to be fair.
I offer you this as someone who has paid on time, is not going to leave in the middle of the night, and has not caused issues on grounds. This is not a stab at anyone, but my review after talking to others about the crowd moving in and recent events. The view during the day although nice is not worth the stress after the sun goes down.

I'm with anonymous. I have seen many come and go in my building. I pay the highest rent out of all of them. Sanford Landing offered at one time free months rent. The clientele changed.

I find it most odd that you are extremely verbal about your views; however, you fail to reveal your identity. Rightly so, you have the option of remaining anonymous, but with all due respect, it's "anonymous" users that leave reviews on here that CARRY NO WEIGHT.
Do not presume that I am "one of those friend" or anything similar. As for the quick response, well there's things called "response emails", that you obviously received due to the quick nature of YOUR response.
I and other potential future residents reading this respect you opinion and views, and am sorry that you are unhappy, but there's ways and means of resolving issues and by you remaining anonymous and not trying to reason with the staff, unfortuatwly will forever make you miserable.

Thank you anonymous. Ryanlock is a tool for the apartments obviously, and is a great example of the "I'm right, your wrong" attitude that you will enjoy upon moving here, so thank you for helping demonstrate. I supposedly have not tried to reason with the staff. He knows this somehow without knowing who I am, which is laughable at best, and is none of his business. So staff member or friend of, since I have talked to the staff about this concern the premise of this argument is false. Strike one. Quite frankly I don't know you, so therefore you do not exist as far I care either. Obviously the day that I posted someone else complained as well, and then someone agreed with the post, so what I said is not unfounded. Strike two. As stated you are obviously the good pr post for them. Also concerns are not enough to get you out of a lease, just ask the staff. You speak of resolving the issue, quite frankly unless they move the location out of that area there is no remedy for the neighborhood around it. Either, way I could post a fake name if you would (like maybe ryanlock2), if that would carry more weight for you, as you would never know unless you are in with the staff. My anonymous status does not change events that have happened, no matter how much you try and discredit it and me thus showing your ties to staff. Obviously with the way that residents get treated after they voice their concerns, it was enough of a concern that the website made it an option. People that complain get bad service, it is a fact of life. You are defending someone that really doesn't care as soon as you are an inconvenience, and that will in the end make you miserable. Your aggressive overly-defensive, and emotional response from the start reveals much about you and your motives. You have no argument left, and quite frankly have wasted enough of my time and your breath spouting faulty logic. The validity of your post is suspect at best. Strike three, and good day.

I have been searching for an apartment for a month and after being a homeowner for 8 years I am ready for a more "simple" life than that of owning a home. I loved the clubhouse, pool and proximity to shops and restaurants, however, I didn't care for the office staff much and have questions of my own about the safety of the neighborhood so I have to agree with "anonymous". You have lived there the longest so far in all the posts so you would know the changes that have occured over the years. Thank you for your honesty! -Cathy
