Top Ten reasons NOT to move here...

1. Cockroaches - grounds are not treated and interior pest control is inadequate. My apartment was a roach hotel in spite of constant cleaning and making sure no food was out.

2. A/C - I have allergies and use the pricey pleated air filters. They were BLACK every two weeks. I kept asking for the air handler and ducts to be cleaned, but they said maintenance checked the vents and there was no dust around them. Duh! I had black pieces of dirt/dust collecting on the top of my frig, the sofa, dresser, everywhere. Keep in my that I have allergies and don't let my house get dusty or dirty.

3. Water - I kept having stomach problems, diarrhea, etc. One day I came home and my water was off. I called the office to report it and they said the whole complex was off because a water pipe burst and that it should be on in a few hours. After talking to my neighbor, I learned that the water goes off periodically. Is this a health code violation'''!! They are supposed to notify residents if the water is going to, or has been, off for any length of time. This is a serious health issue because drinking untreated water is a major source of disease.

4. Maintenance - the second day after moving in my toliet overflowed as I was leaving for work. I called maintence but when I got home they had gotten rid of the water but had not cleaned. So basically raw sewage had leaked out into the hallway carpet and in the bathroom that I had to clean up when I got home.

5. Maintenance - toliet backed up again. Same deal.

6. Neighbors - I made repeated complaints about my neighbors, even reported to the office about the police coming by to question them for fights, drugs, guns, etc. These particular neighbors were so inconsiderate and blatently rude when asked to refrain from their extremely loud behavior. What a nightmare!

7. Landscaping - What landscaping' It was BYOP... Bring your own plants.

8. Laundry Room - No hookups in the one bedrooms, so I had to use the on-site facility, which had a card that had to be filled at the office. I had to leave work early if I wanted to put money on the card, because of the office hours only being 8:30 to 5:30 M-F and only mornings on Saturday.

9. Staff - The majority of the times I called the office during business hours, I got a recording. Poor service, and I moved out 3 months ago and they have yet to find out why my deposit hasn't been mailed. They tell me that the company changed management and they are researching. This issue will be getting ugly very soon.

10. Someone was shot in my bathtub - There was a bullet hole patched up in the bathtub and the floor had stains that weren't too noticable, but between the bathtub and the patched holes in both the bathroom and front doors, I kinda put it all together. If the other reasons were not enough to inspire moving asap, this one was. Creepy. Why wouldn't they just replace the items from a murder/suicide sceen'
