Westlake Apartments

My boyfriend and I lived there for only a few months. We left for two reasons, first, west lake is horrible all together, and second, we wanted to get away from our roomates. When we first moved in, like usual, management was really nice but later on they didn't really care too much for you. Parking is a nightmare!! We would sometimes have to park a street away from where our building was. It was like a race to get there before anyone else.
I never really felt like i was completely safe. Sure they have gates but people would literally wait out it the street until someone exited the complex so that they could enter through the exit. Every now and then you would see a night security officer there. Management claimed he was there every night, but we rarely saw him.
There were a lot of kids always hanging out in the streets late at night. They would spray paint the walls of the complex over and over again after people would come out and paint over it. The noise was the worst. I swear the people below us never turned their subwoofer off. Even if you complained nothing would get done about it. The pool was often closed for some reason. (everytime you wanted to go swimming, it seemed like)
One night, the fire alarms in only our building went off because someone pulled it. It must have been going off for over half an hour before someone got them to go off. And the noise was so ear piercing you couldn't even stay in your apartment, we were all standing out in the streets just waiting.
The price is way too high for what you get. They call them luxary apartment homes, but to most people they're not so luxary. They are like any normal place. That's pretty much all i have to say, but i really don't recommend living there.
