I have lived here for just over two years and I have not had too many problems so far. I really like my apt, and love the floorplan. I live in a 1 bedroom on the 3rd floor so noise has not been much of an issue, except for the people who moved into the building next to mine about six month ago..their patio faces my bedroom window and they spend a lot of time out there and since I work nights, and sleep during the day, it has become somewhat annoying. Especially since I went a year and a half with silence. Also, lately a group of kids like to skateboard up and down the sidewalk outside my bedroom window as well, and use the stair case to jump their skateboards, while I am trying to sleep. I have not had to call maint. for anything in my apt, but I did have to call when ALL of the hallway lights on the 2nd and 3rd floor burnt out at the same time (which was strange), and it took over a week to get it fixed. I was told it was because they had to order the "parts"..not sure why lightbulbs are not kept on property..you would think that was a common item since all the buildings have the same lights. Not good considering I get home in the middle of the night, and couldn't see the stairs, or my door lock to get the key in. That did not feel safe, since anyone could have been lurking in the hallway and I would not have be able to get inside quickly. I had to carry a flashlight just to find my way around. Also had to call about the street light in front of my building being burnt out for over a month, but it finally got fixed about two weeks after I called.(again, because the part had to be ordered). I will say that every night when I come home, I do usually see a security officer riding around the complex. I have not had any encounters with w/ people walking around at night that made me uneasy. I love the location, close to 417 and I-4, and just about any store you can think off. I really do enjoy living here and hope things continue that way. I do not have any issues w/ bugs inside my apt, but there are spiders in the stairways, like between the railings and in the corners of the walls, and I refuse to walk thru the hallways because they are covered w/ webs. I only use the staircase on the side of the building that I live on to avoid the hallways.
I do miss the valet trash pickup, however I got used to taking my trash to the compactor, so I did not opt in when trash valet became available again. I have resigned my lease twice, and my rent has not been raised, and each time was given 300.00 off my rent. This is the first apt that I have lived in that has not raised my rent. However, I did recently look up the current rent listing being offered, and it is less then what I am paying. I probably should have checked that before I resigned, but I was just relieved to not have to pay more, that I didn't think about it. Overall, I am happy that I moved here.
