Buildings are wood frame and noise travels easily thru the walls and floors.

Extermination is non-existant. We've had a recent increase in bugs coming up thru the pipes.

Breezeways and dirty and stained. Often cluttered with other tenant's garbage bags.

Parking is questionable at best. We've had damage done to our car by other tenants.

Appliances are ancient and falling apart. Dishwashers regularly break plates and melt tupperware. You'll get a notice when you move in that you can't turn off the plate warmer toggle on the dishwasher.

Air conditioner is rusted and ancient. Regularly breaks down. Ours has broken down three times in the last six months. Twice on weekends where we had to wait until Monday before maintenace could come fix it.

Apartment rules are routinely unenforced. Other tenants screaming at each other at midnight over loud music or such is commonplace. Parking in the no parking zones, loading zones, and handicapped (by non-handicapped tenants) is routine. We are regularly woken up at midnight by the tenants next door playing music loud enough to shake the walls. Then woken up again at 5:00 AM by the tenants below them retailating.
