I lived here as a college student for three years; two years in a single, and one year in a double with a roommate.

I found the pricing to be very fair for the area, though a college student would probably need help from his/her parents, as I did, to pay rent.

I felt very secure living here, and while I had some noisy/strange neighbors, that's typical of any place, and they were always temporary. We also had some very friendly neighbors, and you would never know that there were so many other college students living in this complex.

The upkeep is very nice (though they have a lawn service that I have found to be slow, inconsiderate of late-sleepers, and have heard may have done some breaking&entering -though I never experienced anything like that first-hand). They've won awards for their landscaping, and have a nice little clubhouse that can be reserved for gatherings. There are several grills on the property, along with a pool, weight room, car wash/air station, and basketball hoop. There is reserved parking for one car, and you can also get a parking space for a boat or trailer.

Maintenance was always friendly, fast, and thorough, from torn screens to faulty air-conditioners.

I would say the electric bill was fair, and therefor the insulation was well-done.

My only complaints about Cimarron would be the trailer park on the other side of the fence in the back (no issues every encountered, though), and that the traffic on DeSoto Pkwy gets heavy around Dog racing season (but it never caused me to be late to class).

If I ever ended up back in Sarasota, my first housing choice would be Cimarron Lakes. :)
