Cimarron started out being great to live in. The units are big, we got our choice of carpeting, and minor repairs were taken care of quickly and efficiently.
We thought we were smart in getting an apartment on the lower of two levels. What a mistake THAT turned out to be. First we had two upstairs neighbors who were heavy walkers. They were polite when we mentioned something, but it didn't help much. Then when they moved out, the office staff thought it would be a great idea to rent the upstairs unit to A WOMAN WITH 3 SMALL CHILDREN. These children ran around that apartment like their butts were on fire - all day and night, every day and night. We said something to the women at the office - they didn't want anything to do with it, they told us to handle it like neighbors. We repeatedly asked the woman to please control her kids, but she gave us a rude remark and glared at us every time we saw her in the parking lot. So much for neighborly.
The noise is a serious problem if you live on the bottom floor; I don't recommend it if you like peace and quiet.
Apparently, the upper floor isn't that much better. The upstairs units get extremely hot. Our upstairs neighbors had a serious ant problem, to which they were given a can of spray and told good luck. They also had flooding in their second bathroom and called at 2 pm when it happened, then were practically scolded for not calling earlier. They were also blamed for the problem and told not to call about that particular problem again.
Also, God help you if you have a pet or desire to get a pet while living in Cimarron. We wanted to get a puppy, but were told, no dogs under one year old. Who gets a dog that is already a year old' If we are paying a non-refundable pet deposit, what is the difference what age it is' They're still getting the money! Also, I guess the weight limit is only for certain tenants.
We ended up breaking our lease to purchase property, but also to get out of there - just not worth it.
Cimmaron looks good on paper, but make sure you get all the info before renting from them.

you're just a whiny ----- that obviously has a bedtime before those little kids did from upstairs. Heavy walker? Sounds like you were the virus plaguing this apartment complex and not the other way around. Have fun slowly detereorating the lives of your future neighbors

It does depend on who your neighbors are upstairs as to how noisey any apartment will be. Through over four years of living at Cimarron I did have one group of men living above me that were just plain loud, but I did have three upstairs neighbors and they were the only loud ones. Although I must say that MrCostanza that posted a response above mine just sounds like a jerk!

Sorry, but it does sound like you are whining. If you live in an apartment complex be ready to here from the people that you live right next to. I cannot believe that your friend had an ant problem and all they did was give them a can of spray and say good luck . They have always been nothing but attentive to my problems and have never for once felt like they shoved it aside like that. It sounds like anyone that would of lived by you would of been a nuisance, you can hear people walking? I can only see you in 30 years being the old person in the condo always writing to the association complaining of everything and everyone around you.
