It has only been 3 months and my girlfriend and I have to get out of here! What started as disbelief when we were told that even though our credit was great and we have no bad past with any apartment we have ever had we were told we needed a months rent as down payment. We have never had one before. That was over looked due to the fact that we were moving into the area and didn't have time to shop around. Our first week we found the apartment to have a serious roach problem. It was determined regular roaches and german roaches were infested and living in our apartment. We informed the staff and it was like they almost told us we were lying. They said are you sure they are roaches, because the last guy in the apartment was really clean etc. We were like yes they are roaches. After a month and a half our roach problem had only gotten a little better. We demanded something be done and their responce was. "well we are doing the best we can" meanwhile I am having to wash all the dishes I own on any occasion that I grab a plate and find a roach scurry to the back of the cabinet. We now have found mold comming through our bathroom wall and we were told today that it was "rust"! I have never seen wood rust, but who knows' Now as we have pleaded with them to just let us walk away move on and part ways amicably they have refused. Laura the manager, who has been absolutely worthless in getting anything done for us, informed us despite what we have been through(living in a roach motel for the last 3 months) we would still be required to pay a fee equivalent to a months rent, to get out of the lease clean and free. Absolutely rediculous. On a side note, Melinda was our lease consultant and very nice, unfortunately every decision made in the office is done by Laura with has a SOL policy. Also we did recieve a whopping $150 credit on one months rent for our inconvenience. Just thought I would note that just to be fair. You make the decision. I have never been more unhappy in any other apartment, and I have never been treated this badly as a customer anywhere.
